David is a compassionate, calm and highly-experienced psychotherapist who has helped over a 1000 clients improve their problems with mood, anxiety, trauma and stress. David believes that treating the whole mind and body is the most effective approach to helping his clients achieve wellness and happiness.  In addition to his therapy training, David has a degree in naturopathic medicine, and applies principles of nutrition, sleep and whole-body health to the care of his clients.

David has experience working with people with the following concerns:

  • Mood disorders including Major Depression, Dysthymia, and Bipolar Disorder

  • Anxiety disorders including Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Panic Attacks, and other specific phobias

  • The emotional distress caused by chronic diseases such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Diabetes, and Cancer

David also helps people without official mental health diagnoses, who are just bogged down by the stresses of life and are seeking more energy, calm and happiness.

David has deep expertise in psychotherapy, and has trained many other therapists and healthcare providers. He was a founding member of the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto where he led therapy groups for people suffering from anxiety, depression, stress, and physical illnesses such as cancer.  While in Toronto, he also had a position on the faculty of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, teaching health psychology.

David now lives in Victoria BC, where he sees clients and also offers online virtual appointments to clients across Canada.
